Here is an overview of the fees to anticipate for carrying out your vocational training project in Québec.
Before departure
Administrative fees
Administrative fees include the costs related to opening your file with Québec métiers d’avenir, as well as those associated with obtaining the documents required for your immigration procedures with the governments of Québec and Canada.

Tuition fees
Tuition fees include :
- tuition fees
- Related fees such as school supplies and equipment.
They range from $10,000 to $60,000 depending on the program and institution selected. You can view the details on each program’s page or by using our search engine.
Please note that French citizens benefit an exemption from tuition fees under an agreement between Québec and France. However, they are still required to pay the related fees.
Insurance
Under Québec’s Immigration Act, all international students are required to have health and hospitalization insurance and to maintain this coverage for the entire duration of their studies in Québec.
The monthly insurance premium may range from $90 to $100 per person, depending on the insurer. It is also recommended that individuals immigrating with you obtain health and hospitalization insurance.
Depending on the institution selected, full payment of the premium may be required before the start of the program or may be spread out over the year.
French citizens enrolled full-time in a vocational training center in Québec are eligible for free coverage provided by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ), as long as they are affiliated with France’s social security system.
Payment methods for tuition fees and insurance
Depending on the vocational training center you choose, two payment methods are possible:
- 1. Payment to Éducation internationale
Tuition fees and/or insurance premiums must be paid to Éducation internationale when the educational institution has authorized the cooperative to collect them. For full details, please refer to the Payment and Refund Policy provided for this purpose.
- 2. Direct Payment to the Training Centre
If Éducation internationale has not been authorized by the training center, the student must make payments directly to their institution. In this case, it is important to consult the payment and refund policy of that center to understand the applicable terms.
Important: Your support team will inform you of the applicable payment method based on the training center you have selected.
Transportation costs
The cost of a round-trip airline ticket to Québec can range from $1,000 to $3,000 per person, depending on your point of departure. Depending on the airline you choose, you may also need to budget for additional baggage fees, which can be up to $150 per item.
Éducation internationale has entered into an agreement with Air Canada, offering you several benefits. Full details will be provided once you begin your registration process.
